The Head Start Program is designed to serve the total child and his/her family. Service Delivery areas of program include: Education, Health, Nutrition, Social Services, Mental Health, Disabilities, Transportation, and Parent Involvement. We encourage all of our Head Start parents to volunteer whenever possible with working in the classroom, kitchen, and as office aides. Parents are also actively involved as members of Parent Center Committees and as Policy Council members.

Children may attend one of our two center-based programs: a full-day, five day a week, year round program; or a half-day (morning or afternoon), four day a week program that operates 8-9 months each year. Head Start Centers are located in Sandusky, Norwalk, and Willard. Each center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

Head Start is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Erie County Department of Health and Human Services, the Ohio Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the Ohio Department of Education, Child Nutrition Services.
