Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
HEAP provides heating bill assistance during the winter months to income eligible households. Users of natural gas, electricity, coal, wood, oil, propane, and other bulk fuels may receive assistance. Emergency HEAP assists with utility shut-offs. The amount of assistance is determined by:
- Total household income
- Total number of people living in the home
- Type of fuel
